Men's Health > Penis Health > Penis Size

On reviewing 100's of pages of information and talking to 1000's of men, the following conclusions can be reached:

  • Small - under 4 inches (under 10 cm)
  • Medium  - 4 to 6 inches (10 - 15 cm)
  • Optimal - 6 - 8 inches (15 - 20 cm)
  • Large - over 8 inches. (20 cm + )
Note the measurement is taken when erect from the point where in the penis intersects with the belly to the tip - (see arrow in penis pic lower right).
  • If you are under 18, none of this applies as you have not finished growing naturally.
  • In terms of being able to impregnate a woman, penis size is irrelevant,  any man with any size penis, providing he can get an erection and ejaculate can participate in creating new life. (For those who cannot, there is medical help.)

Penis Size Surveys
Every man wants to know if they are average or not? hopefully they are not below averages other wise what do they do? The problem is unfortunately there is no definitive answer to this question. Many researches have been done and the average penis size as ranged from 6 inches to 6.5 inches, the question is which study to believe. Durex have been running a online study for many years now and you can see their results by visiting their site.

The largest erect member in medical literature would be the 14-inch organ mentioned by Dr. David Reuben in his book Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex (1969). Reuben didn’t divulge any source for this figure, and there was no independent verification, so you may question his accuracy. The largest medically verified penis on record is 13.5 inches long and 6.25 inches around, documented in the early twentieth century by Dr. Robert L. Dickinson. Other sources (Alfred Kinsey, Masters and Johnson, etc.) mention specimens ranging from 9.5 to 12 inches. Sexual Records.

The study which should be the most accurate is the report done by The Alfred C. Kinsey Institute for sex. The largest sample of 10,000 men were measured and then the results compiled. The results showed the average was 6-6.5 inches in length. Average girth is 5-5.5 inches See graph below:

The size of your penis doesn't have a relationship with anything else. For example a person with big feet does NOT necessarily have a 9 inch penis. Whether you are above or below the average ask yourself does it really matter? If you feel comfortable with the way your penis looks then it is not an issue. If not then you could do what I did and set about enlarging your penis. See links on the left.

How many times were you made fun of because your penis looked "shrunk"? Were you one of those guys who wouldn't shower after gym class because of embarrassment? You don't have to worry. Most girls get excited when the see a mans penis and of course the bigger it is the more turned on she might get but their are other alternatives to giving a women an orgasm if you don't have a big penis. If your penis is small you can always try satisfying your partner in other ways.

So how big should you be?
Over 2000 women were asked what size they prefer, and they say that the optimal size is seven to eight inches, or about 18 - 20 centimeters. With women,  vaginal size varies,  some are very short in length and they are satisfied with a 4 inch penis, however the average woman can accommodate an 8 inch penis very comfortably, and the desire for the feeling of fullness strong such that any less leaves room for deeper satisfaction and a dissatisfied woman is more likely to be unfaithful.

Tips:
If you are monogamous - and your woman can take more than you have to offer, enlargement is advised.
If you are still exploring, enlargement to 8 inches is a good choice, but once you go beyond 8 inches, the numbers of women available begins to decrease and I tell you it's a disappointment to get a girl into the bedroom and have her refuse sex because your equipment is to big.. read more on being to big or how to enlarge .
